Hunter Class Overview for WoW Forever
Uses weapons and pets to control distance, track targets, and adapt to a group's needs.
QuestBase Editorial · Beta draft · Roster checked October 3, 20261. Hunter at a Glance
Hunter combines weapon combat with a companion and the ability to decide how close a fight becomes. The class can approach enemies from range or move into a more direct weapon style, while the pet adds another set of decisions about target, threat, and position.
Forever has an official Hunter class deep dive. QuestBase uses the announced role and specialization roster here, while leaving exact Beta pet numbers and talent allocations open until they can be checked against the current client.

Core Gameplay and Class Systems
A pet can help start a solo pull, but its route and target matter. Send it deliberately, call it back before it crosses another group, and notice when it competes with a dungeon tank for threat.
Distance is a resource. Position where the next shot is possible and where an enemy cannot easily force you into a bad exchange. Confirm what the current Beta actually grants before planning around an older Hunter build.
What to Know in WoW Forever
Blizzard has published a Forever Hunter class deep dive; refer to the official overview for current ability details.
Class availability and role options are supported by the current QuestBase roster. Exact talent effects and performance claims require fresh current-client verification, so this page does not present a final build or tier ranking.
Leveling a Hunter
Keep your weapon and trained abilities current. Pay attention to the pet's health and behavior as well as your own; a careless extra pull can erase the time saved by aggressive damage.
Try the three announced paths through their actual available abilities before settling on a long-term plan. A level-30 snapshot cannot establish launch or endgame rankings.

Hunter in PvE
In a dungeon, send the pet to the tank's target, manage its movement, and keep a useful firing position. Group utility and avoiding unwanted pulls are part of a good Hunter contribution.
Hunter in PvP
The Hunter's decisions begin with spacing. Pet pressure, weapon range and available control create opportunities, but current Beta tuning does not support a permanent match-up ranking.
