What a War Plan changes
War Plans turn activity selection into a progression choice. Instead of treating every dungeon or boss as interchangeable, pick activities whose rewards advance a specific item or build goal. Inspect the modifiers before activating a route and check whether your character has the mobility, defense and target damage it asks for.
How account sharing works
Blizzard states that points earned by one character can be allocated on another in the same shared partition. The partitions separate Seasonal from Eternal, Hardcore from Non-Hardcore, and Normal from Solo Self Found. A character outside the partition should not be counted on for the same pool.
Start with a stable baseline
Run one chosen activity without added difficulty and record where the character slows or dies. Add a modifier only when the base route is repeatable. If completion time jumps or deaths increase, the modifier may be a poor choice even if its reward looks attractive.
Use different builds for different routes
A fast pack clearer may be appropriate for ordinary material loops, while a dedicated boss setup is better for isolated targets. Cross-check the build's stated best-for use with the activity. A class is not locked into a single War Plan path; change the route when the reward target changes.
Revisit points after major gear changes
A new item may remove the bottleneck that motivated earlier points. Review your path after gaining substantial defense, resource recovery or a skill-specific interaction. Keep expansion ownership and current live-client options in view rather than assuming every announced activity is available on every account.
