The short version

Why players care
Friends and roleplayers can plan a shared naming theme, but should prepare alternative full-name combinations and check eligibility before the window.
What changed
- WoW Forever uses two-part names whose complete combination is unique within a region.
- Early reservation is scheduled from October 27 through November 3 for eligible upgrade purchases.
- A desired name is not guaranteed; reservation is first-come, first-served.
Who it affects
Eligible upgrade holders, roleplayers, friends choosing matching names and anyone concerned about a specific full-name combination.
What you should do
Write down two or three acceptable full names, confirm your account's eligibility and use the official reservation flow during the announced window.
Guide impact
The first-hour checklist now treats character naming and group coordination as pre-creation decisions; it does not imply that early reservation is required to play.
