What Changed From Classic?
Keep your Classic knowledge of travel and class identity, but recheck talents, races, Legacy and dungeon XP in Forever.

Class and talent expectations
Classic knowledge remains useful for understanding a class's basic fantasy, but it is not a safe source for an exact Forever build. Blizzard has revised abilities and talent trees. Talents begin at level 10 and include new milestones; the current Beta notes continue to move and adjust individual talents. Compare the current class overview with the talent calculator's verification status before assigning points.
- Classic expectation: a remembered tree is stable enough to copy.
- Forever reality: verify each current node and prerequisite in the live Beta build.
Races and long-term progression
Forever introduces Skyborne and new race/class combinations. It also adds Legacy, an account-wide progression system that makes some activity outside one character matter across the account. A Classic-only race guide or single-character plan will miss these decisions. Use the Race & Class Finder before character creation, then read the current Legacy explanation before optimizing around it.
- Classic expectation: only familiar race/class pairings need consideration.
- Forever reality: the roster and racials need a fresh check.
The current leveling window
The Beta level cap has moved to 30. The October 1 build changed the bonus experience from dungeon quests and increased respawns in several mid-level zones. A Week 1 route ending at level 20 or repeatedly farming old dungeon-quest bonuses is out of date. Use the current level planner and dungeon ranges instead.
- Classic expectation: an old dungeon bracket or XP trick will transfer unchanged.
- Forever reality: current Beta notes and available instance ranges set the route.
What still carries over
Learning travel connections, training abilities, reading quest text and discussing roles with your group still pay off. Keep that experience, but separate durable habits from exact numbers that can change before launch.
